Bilgin Yachts make history with launch of largest ever Turkish superyacht

Touching the waters of West Istanbul Marina during a private ceremony, Bilgin Yachts made history as the largest superyacht ever built in Turkey emerged.

Originally unveiled five years ago back in 2015, the 80 metre vessel Hull NB75 has been sold to a European owner and will now proceed in to the outfitting stages of the construction process.

Powered by two 2,560 kW engines and with designs and engineering by Unique Yacht Design, the record breaking vessel is said to have a strong character reflecting the owner and their specific requests.

Interiors envisioned by long term collaborating design studio H2 Yacht Design, reports state an abundant use of eucalyptus, marble and Macassar ebony. Suggesting a luxurious environment designed to reflect and enhance the overall sensation of space.

Continuity of this natural and sophisticated appeal is reportedly followed throughout the external living areas, creating an overall philosophy of contemporary living.

With her design and comfort elements, the Bilgin 263 is truly one-of-a-kind. The increase in living areas normally results in bulky designs, but the Bilgin 263 has a design attitude that will dominate the yachting sector around the world. This will clearly make her a trendsetter among steel-aluminium superyachts of today.

Constructed in compliance with IMO Tier III certification, the inbuild vessel, due for Spring/Summer 2020 delivery, is being described as one of the most eco-friendly crafts of her size.

A key feature of the build is a specially deisgned exhaust system which is said to produce 100% clean air emissions.

A grand staircase is said to be a main focal point within the design as it located aft to connect the main salon and beach club. Not found on any other vessel, this substantial difference in design allows a flood of natural light from the extensive glazing around the main deck to highlight the entirety of the lower level beach club.

Further details regarding the interior layout are yet to be revealed by the yard.

In addition to the impending launch of the first Bilgin 263 hull, the Turkish shipyard also reveals that the second hull NB76 has already sold, with a third NB78 also being constructed under speculation.
