Feadship’s 88.38m (290ft) superyacht ZEN is moving closer to delivery with images coming in of sea trials on the North Sea.
Formerly known as Project 816, ZEN’s navigation, stability and emergency features are being sea trialled ahead of her anticipated delivery later this year.
With a clean and proportioned exterior by Feadship’s own Studio De Voogt and interiors by Italian-based Nauta Design and FM Architettura, ZEN is the first full build to design to emerge from Feadship’s new Amsterdam yard. She entered the facilities in May 2019, shortly before they were opened by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
The five-deck motor yacht features a large swimming pool on the main deck aft, a forward-facing Jacuzzi on the sun deck and a circular social lounge on the foredeck.
She offers accommodation for 16 guests across eight cabins, with space for 25 crew members on board as well.
With the 50m (164ft) motor yacht ‘Totally Nuts’ already handed to her owner and eight further superyachts set for delivery in 2021, six of which are over 70m (230ft), 2021 will be another busy year for Feadship. Just last week its 94m (308ft) superyacht VIVA, which is due to launch later this year, left its Kaag yard for the first time.
Feadship is also working on the 118m (387ft) Feadship 821, which is not only its biggest project yet, but will also be the largest Dutch-built yacht upon its planned delivery in 2023.
