Silent-Yachts sells three units of advanced flagship model

The German-based shipyard has sold both open and closed version of its Silent 80 Tri-Deck.

Silent-Yachts has announced it has sold three units of its 24m (79ft) Silent 80 Tri-Deck, an advanced version of the companies flagship model, the Silent 80.

The solar electric catamaran is designed and engineered by Marco Casali and MICAD. It adds either a sky lounge on the top deck for the closed version or a large 90-square-meter (295 sq. feet) fly deck, which can be designed as an Owner’s deck, for the open version.

The three Silent 80 Tri-Deck models that have been sold include both closed and open versions.

"We are happy that the interest to fully sustainable yachting keeps growing," said Michael Köhler, founder and CEO of Silent-Yachts. "Our latest orders are another confirmation of this trend for a much greener future. The first Silent 80 Tri-Deck closed version will have a master cabin in the top deck, but a lounge or studio could possibly also be placed here on future units."

The model’s highlights include a highly customizable interior with a large saloon of around 60-square-meters (197 sq. ft) on the main deck and the largest garage for a yacht of this size, due to the fact there is no engine room because the yacht is solar powered. There is enough space for 5.2m (17ft) tender with an integrated lift and launching system or an amphibious vehicle. The lower deck hosts 4 to 6 guest cabins and 1 or 2 crew cabins.

The exterior is true to the DNA of the Silent-Yachts brand, with plenty of straight lines and huge windows that let in an abundance of natural light and provide panoramic views. Supercar inspired horizontal air grills add a real sporty feel.

In keeping with Silent-Yachts reputation for building the ‘TESLA of the Seas’ the Silent 80 Tri-Deck uses silent electric propulsion for unlimited range and is equipped with solar panels that produce up to 26kWp.

Carbon construction ensures there is no impact on performance with the model being able to reach up to 20 knots, and cruise 100nm a day without consuming any fuel.
