Key Features
- Spacious sun deck with shaded bar
- Garage/ sports room near stern
- Sky lounge with cinema screen
- Open-plan stairwell with natural light
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.85m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was delivered to her owners in July 2004.
Exterior Design
Yalla features a clipper bow design, contributing to its efficient and smooth navigation through various sea conditions. The deck is constructed from high-quality teak, providing durability and a timeless aesthetic. Both the hull and superstructure are painted white, offering a clean and classic appearance. The boot top and the area below the waterline are finished in black, adding a touch of contrast to the overall look.
The exterior layout includes a garage and sports room near the stern, where tenders are stored. This setup frees up the four deck areas for the owner's and guests' use. The sun deck is particularly spacious, featuring an aft-facing horseshoe seating arrangement and an adjacent shaded bar under a hard-topped bimini. Additionally, a fan-shaped sunbathing area is situated just aft of the arch mast.
The deck below the sun deck provides open-air dining and lounging areas, while the main deck aft also offers similar amenities. The forward superstructure includes a large oval sitting and sunbathing area, allowing for solitude and privacy when the yacht is moored stern-to.
Interior Design
Upon entering the main saloon through the aft doors, guests are greeted by curved leather-covered walls inset with display cabinets. The saloon features a large open-plan area with inward-facing U-shaped seating and a low, curvaceous peninsula adjacent to the dining table. Details such as a glass-topped occasional table with leather straps, subtle lighting variations, and unique stainless steel light fittings enhance the room’s functionality and aesthetic.
A standout feature of the saloon is the flexible dining area, designed for dual purposes. The dining table's top can fold back to reveal cup holders and a cut-out for an electronic games console, providing a play center option. The table can also be raised or lowered electrically, and the backs of the bench seats can adjust to offer comfortable seating for various activities.
The galley, designed with input from the captain's wife and purser, Christina Fenley, is fitted with black granite tops and modern household equipment. Its layout ensures a logical workflow and includes a dumb waiter that delivers food directly to the bridge deck pantry, facilitating efficient service to the prime alfresco dining area on the aft deck.
The main stairwell, a design feature requested by the owner, offers an open-plan ascent lit by natural light from three skylights. This stairwell connects to the sky lounge, which is furnished with a chic bar topped with frosted glass and decorated with exaggerated maplewood ribs and a striking wall-mounted mosaic by Spa-mosaic France. The sky lounge serves multiple purposes, from quiet reading and conversation to film screenings facilitated by a pull-out cinema-style screen and a deckhead projector.
The helm is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and communication systems, incorporating Tijssen's active system monitoring, MTU's engine monitoring, and Servowatch and Techman historic data recording systems.
Accommodation
Yalla can host up to ten guests in five well-appointed staterooms. Located on the main deck, the owner's suite is designed for ultimate privacy and comfort. It features a minimalist bedroom with a king-sized bed that appears to float above a pool of light. This suite includes a private office, a walk-in wardrobe, and a marble-lined bathroom complete with a shower compartment.
The lower deck houses four additional guest staterooms. Two full-beam VIP suites each come with their own sitting areas. One VIP suite is equipped with an en suite bathroom, while the other features an en suite shower room and a walk-in wardrobe. The remaining two staterooms are twin-bedded, each with two Pullman berths and adjoining shower rooms.
The crew area is situated just forward of the watertight bulkhead, featuring a mess room, a laundry room, and three cabins. The engineer's cabin includes a twin bunk and a desk. Additionally, there is a four-bunk en suite cabin to starboard and another four-bunk cabin with a small head and shower compartment located in the bow.
