Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 24'6" beam and a 5'11" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 149 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the twelfth yacht built on the Viking 92EB design.
Exterior Design
The exterior of Aussie Rules features a white hull and superstructure, complemented by the distinctive tuna tower and Viking bow. The fiberglass hull is crafted with a sleek profile, incorporating practical safety features such as extended handrails and a custom stainless-steel bow rail.
The cockpit is specifically designed for fishing. It includes teak decks and is equipped with a Trillion Series fighting chair. Essential fishing amenities are incorporated, such as refrigeration, livewells, and custom removable tuna tubes. Entertainment is catered for with a fold-down TV and a grill, while tackle storage is readily accessible. The Tuna Tower helps fishing with hydraulic outriggers and Miya Epoch electric teaser reels.
Interior Design
The interior of the Aussie Rules yacht uses satin walnut throughout, bringing a warm and inviting atmosphere. Custom lighting enhances the aesthetic appeal while ensuring visibility and ambiance.
The salon features a U-shaped sofa and a wet bar and entertainment system, making this space versatile for any occasion. The open-plan main deck incorporates a spacious lounging area aft, where a sectional sofa provides ample seating.
The galley includes SubZero refrigeration, a convection microwave, and garbage disposal, ensuring that meal preparation is straightforward. The large sit-up breakfast bar and eat-in galley blend practicality with a casual dining experience. Adjacent to the galley, the dining area accommodates six guests, offering an ideal setting for shared meals.
The enclosed flybridge features an aft helm station with upgraded seating, allowing for comfortable navigation and operation. This area is also equipped with SubZero refrigeration, supporting extended cruising with necessary amenities close at hand.
Accommodation
The yacht Aussie Rules provides accommodation for eight guests in seven well-appointed staterooms. The full-beam owner suite has a king berth and features such as a walk-in closet, motorized blinds, and his-and-her heads. In addition to the owner's suite, there are two VIP suites and a twin cabin that include private heads and high-end finishes.
For the crew, there are designated quarters for two with separate access, equipped with upper and lower berths and a dedicated head with a shower.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000M96L) 2,635hp engines, motor yacht Aussie Rules is capable of reaching a top speed of 36 knots, and comfortably cruises at 30 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
