- Tuna Tower
- Enclosed flybridge
- Achieves a top speed of 40 knots
Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.5m beam and a 1.7m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks.
This was the twenty-third yacht built on the Viking 80EB design.
Exterior Design
Viking Yachts prioritized efficiency and performance in this design, evident in the yacht's lean profile and enhanced hull. The redesigned hull improves the yacht's entry into the water at both bow and stern, optimizing speed and stability. These changes were engineered to meet the specific demands of avid sports fishermen who value speed to reach fishing grounds swiftly. The chines at the bow have been reimagined, and the stern's interaction with water has been refined.
Attention to practical details is evident in the low cockpit design, which facilitates easier access to the water, essential for sports fishing activities. This area is equipped with features designed to enhance the fishing experience, including storage for bait and catches, and the possibility to install a fighting chair, underscoring the yacht's focus on functionality as much as form.
C-Hunter also features a tuna tower, providing a high vantage point for spotting fish.
Interior Design
The main salon is equipped with custom cabinetry that includes a pop-up TV, cleverly integrated into the furniture for a streamlined look. The use of mid-gloss wood throughout the interior adds warmth and a touch of sophistication without overwhelming the senses. This choice of finish allows the natural grain and depth of the wood to shine through, contributing to the yacht's inviting atmosphere.
Storage solutions are abundant and thoughtfully incorporated into the design. Sofas in the salon lift to reveal substantial storage space beneath, maximizing the utility of the area. This practical approach to design extends to the protection of the interior, with floor runners used to safeguard the carpeting.
The dining area features a secondary TV and a dinette that serves as a versatile space for meals, socializing, or simply enjoying a coffee. The proximity of the dining area to the galley ensures ease of service and a cohesive flow between spaces.
The galley boasts Miele appliances, including a cooktop and oven. Six refrigerator drawers provide ample storage for fresh ingredients, while the inclusion of a microwave behind discreet cabinetry underscores the galley's blend of functionality and design. A day head located near the galley adds an extra layer of convenience for guests.
The helm is a focal point of technology and design, featuring an enclosed flybridge that offers additional space for relaxation and entertainment. The helm station itself is outfitted with large screens, bow thruster controls, and a dynamic positioning system, all within easy reach. The use of wood around the helm station, an optional extra, adds a touch of elegance to the space. A secondary helm station provides versatility, whether for docking or fishing, ensuring clear communication and visibility.
Accommodation
C-Hunter is designed to accommodate up to ten guests across five well-appointed cabins.
The centerpiece of the guest accommodations is the full-beam master suite, located aft. This spacious suite offers a king-size bed, complemented by a dedicated desk area that can double as a vanity. The master suite boasts an en-suite bathroom equipped with a large shower, double sinks, and extensive storage behind the mirrors and under the sinks, addressing the often-overlooked need for ample storage space in yacht accommodations.
In addition to the master suite, C-Hunter provides four more guest cabins, each designed to ensure comfort and privacy. Each guest cabin includes queen berths, nightstands, sufficient closet space, and private en-suite bathrooms, maintaining a consistent level of quality and comfort throughout.
The bathrooms in all cabins mirror the thoughtful design seen in the master suite, with generous cabinet storage and under-sink storage, ensuring guests have enough space for their personal items.
One cabin is utilized for C-Hunter's two crew members.
