Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9.1m beam and a 2.59m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 490 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the Heesen 4400 design.
Exterior Design
The yacht's silhouette is sleek and purposeful, with a straight bow that cuts through the water efficiently. The superstructure is designed to balance aesthetics with practicality, offering ample deck space without compromising the yacht's streamlined appearance.
On the aft deck, twin teak tables are set within an L-shaped seating arrangement, providing a welcoming area for outdoor dining or relaxation. The space is easily accessible via a passerelle, and the transom wall opens to reveal a garage and beach club.
Ascending to the sun deck, guests are greeted with a jacuzzi, sun pads, a dining area, and a bar, all arranged to facilitate social interaction and enjoyment of the surroundings. A second helm station on this level underscores the yacht's design focus on both guest experience and operational efficiency.
The bridge deck aft extends the entertainment space with a teak table and wraparound seating.
Interior Design
The main living area combines comfort with practicality, presenting a space conducive to both relaxation and socializing. Heavy and thick doors throughout the yacht demonstrate the robust construction standards Heesen is known for. In the main salon, a circular entrance immediately sets a tone of structured elegance. The area is equipped with plush seating and contemporary décor, seamlessly integrating with the yacht's overall design scheme. The formal dining area is characterized by its distinctive wall treatment, featuring a wood grain pattern laid in contrasting directions, adding a subtle yet refined aesthetic touch.
The galley boasts modern appliances, including a Gaggenau cooktop and oven, a dishwasher, and an espresso machine. Cold storage spans an entire wall, while an island in the center of the galley provides additional workspace. This area is brightly lit and features windows that, when blinds are open, allow natural light to flood the space, enhancing the working environment for the crew.
The sky lounge affords panoramic views and is complemented by a convertible Murphy bed, expanding guest sleeping options.
Throughout the yacht, the choice of materials, from the Alcantara in the main living spaces to the stone countertops in the bar area, reflects a preference for durability and ease of maintenance without compromising on the overall aesthetic quality.
Accommodation
Castlefinn presents a well-appointed arrangement for up to 10 guests across five staterooms, with an additional convertible stateroom available to accommodate a total of 12 guests when required.
At the forefront of the guest quarters is the owner's suite, situated on the main deck for optimal accessibility and privacy. This stateroom is a full-beam sanctuary that includes a spacious living area complete with a full-size sofa and a private office, ensuring a serene and functional space for the owner. The suite is served by an expansive en-suite bathroom featuring a double vanity, an ample shower with dual rainfall shower heads, and a separate area for the toilet and bidet alongside a luxurious soaking tub.
Accompanying the owner's suite, the main deck also houses four additional guest cabins. Each cabin is equipped with its own en-suite bathroom, providing guests with individual rainfall showers. Designed with comfort in mind, the cabins feature LED lighting, storage options, televisions, and en-suite facilities that underscore convenience and privacy.
The crew quarters include necessary amenities and are strategically placed to allow the crew of up to seven to maintain the yacht's standards of service without intruding upon guest privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Propelled by twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 engines, Castlefinn achieves a top speed of 23 knots. At a cruising speed of 20 knots, the yacht exhibits not only power but also efficiency, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles when operating at a more conservative speed of 12 knots. This balance of speed and range makes the yacht suitable for both swift passages and extended voyages.
In terms of stability, which contributes to the comfort of those on board, Castlefinn is equipped with features designed to reduce motion both at anchor and while cruising. These systems are integral to the yacht's performance, ensuring a smoother experience for guests and crew alike.
The engine room is well organized, housing the yacht's propulsion systems and generators, and is accessible through a robust door, emphasizing the secure and well-thought-out design of the vessel's internal layout.
Amenities
The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
