The award winning 44m motor yacht Jems was delivered to her owners in 2009 by Dutch shipyard Heesen. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Heesen.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.5m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 458 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2007. She was delivered to her owners in April 2009.
Accommodation
Jems offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising 3 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M90) 16-cylinder 3,647hp engines, motor yacht Jems is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 69,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,152 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Jems also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
