Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has introduced its latest superyacht project named MONTE CARLO at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024.
Project MONTE CARLO is a new steel Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) 62m four-deck superyacht, designed by British studio Harrison Eidsgaard. Heesen held a press conference on the first morning of the show to present the project to the press and industry professionals.
The new motor yacht Project MONTE CARLO optimizes its four-deck design with an entire deck dedicated to the owners. This area includes a lavish master suite and a spacious office, catering to the trend of working onboard post-pandemic. Designer Peder Eidsgaard emphasized the flexibility of the owner's deck, which can be customized to include a private foredeck with a sundeck, jacuzzi, and a fold-down balcony.
Monte Carlo has a gross tonnage of 1,340 tons to accommodate 12 guests in six sumptuous suites and 15 crew in 8 cabins. She’s powered with two MTU 1,500kW engines, giving a top speed of 16 knots, and a range of 4,500 miles.

Guest accommodations are spread across the main and lower decks, featuring up to five VIP cabins and comfortable doubles. The yacht's design also ensures a constant connection to the water with a 23-square-meter pool with glass sides, giving the impression of swimming in the sea, and fold-down wings on the aft deck for sitting right over the water.
Other key spaces include a beach lounge on the main deck, accommodating informal dining for up to 14 guests, a firepit observation lounge, an outdoor kitchen, and a semi-open sky lounge with a hidden pop-up TV for movie nights. Wellness is also a priority, with a dedicated center on the lower deck featuring a gym, sauna, hammam, and massage or beauty room.
The yacht's beach club is ideal for launching water toys, with impressive storage for the latest equipment, including e-foils, wave runners, and diving gear. It also includes storage for two tenders for easy shore excursions.
The superyacht is equipped for serial hybrid propulsion, with space for a large battery bank and a methanol-ready tank layout for future conversion to hydrogen combustion or fuel cells. The fast displacement hull form is optimized for 12-knot cruising, but the powertrain can manage up to 16 knots.
We see that our owners are increasingly interested in minimizing their environmental impact. By planning the yacht around tried-and-tested green solutions, we are helping them make good decisions that don’t add much time and cost to the build.”
