World Yachts Trophies 2024 Finalists Announced

An unmissable annual yachting event held during the Cannes Yachting Festival

On Saturday, September 14 during the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, the World Yachts Trophies 2024 Gala Dinner will recognize the best motorboats and new yachts launched this year, ranging from 14m to 140m.

Opposite the Carlton Cannes, the beach transforms into an open-air theater, hosting up to 700 guests for the prestigious yachting event. The gala dinner is followed by the legendary Yachts Parade showcasing the most beautiful yachts on anchor in the Bay of Cannes, illuminated under the lights of the Croisette.

For this year's new yacht launches, the finalists for exterior design include the wallypower50 in the 45' to 64' (13.7m to 19.5m) category, the Azimut Seadeck 7 and Pardo GT75 in the 64' to 80' (19.5m to 24m) category, and the Pershing GTX 80 for yachts from 80' to 98' (24m to 30m).

In the larger yacht categories, with superyachts 98' to 164' (30m to 50m), finalists for the Exterior Design Trophy include the Columbus Atlantique 43 and Mangusta 132 E for sale.

Interior design is recognized in all size categories and this year's finalists in the superyacht category include Dunya Yachts' custom yacht KING BENJI (46.7m), DOGE by Ocean King, and LT. PETE MAVERICK MITCHELL the CDM Flexplorer 146 explorer yacht.

Yacht of the Year

Yacht builder Lurssen, renowned for building many of the world's biggest yachts, has two finalists for the Yacht of the Year Trophy in the over 270' (82m+) category.

The 82m Lurssen yacht HAVEN is competing against the 122m Lurssen superyacht KISMET and the 122m Freire Yachts superyacht RENAISSANCE.

A total of 69 finalists have been selected by a jury of journalists, historians, and yachting experts. During the evening, a highlight of the Cannes Yachting Festival, 30 trophies will be awarded.

Finalists for the Innovation Trophy include the Canados 571 and Omikron Yachts OT 60 in the Yachts from 45' to 64' category, and the Astondoa AX 8Numarine 30 XP, and Sunseeker Ocean 156 in the Yachts from 80' to 98' category.
