Heesen Yachts to Showcase Impressive Lineup at FLIBS 2024

Visitors to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will see some of Heesen's finest superyachts to date.

Netherlands-based builder Heesen Yachts will have a strong presence at this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, scheduled for October 30 to November 3.

Recognizing the United States as its largest market, Heesen will present three yachts at the Superyacht Village: the 2022 50m semi-displacement yacht BOOK ENDS, the 2021 50m fast-displacement hull form (FDHF) motor yacht ELA, and the 2011 55m superyacht AFTER YOU which debuted as QUINTA ESSENTIA.

Both BOOK ENDS and ELA represent the latest in Heesen’s semi-custom motor yacht offerings. Superyacht BOOK ENDS — for sale for $45,590,478 (€42,000,000) — has been tailored with bespoke loose furniture designed by its owner. In contrast, ELA’s owners collaborated closely with designer Cristiano Gatto to create an entire interior that reflects their taste.

Heesen's Chief Commercial Officer, Ruud van der Stroom, expressed enthusiasm about attending the world's largest in-water boat show. He emphasized that the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is crucial for engaging with clients and introducing Heesen's superyachts to the American audience.

We are the only Northern European shipyard to offer yachts below 500GT with a fast delivery. The 50m hybrid Project ORION is available for sale with delivery scheduled for Q1 2025, while Project SOPHIA, a 50m semi-displacement is available for delivery in Q1 2026."

Thom Conboy, Heesen’s U.S. representative, noted the influence of the upcoming election on American clients' purchasing decisions, a trend observed across the luxury sector. He anticipates a resurgence in market confidence once the election concludes.

Once the election results are confirmed, we are expecting a level of confidence to return to the market. The boat show is ideally timed for us to connect with our client base and showcase Heesen for when they do feel comfortable to invest in their next yacht."
